BBB Betting Tips: Yankees @ Tigers 4/13

Thursday gave us our first push of the season. We did not get there in the manner I predicted, with three garbage time runs in the ninth, but it was not a loss. It was, however, another loss for our beloved Bombers.  Coming off of an intense rivalry series, the Yankees are in for an interesting few games betting wise as they take on the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park this weekend.

Jordan Montgomery (0-0, 4.82 ERA) vs. Mike Fiers (1-0, 0.00 ERA)

Jordan Montgomery did not have a stellar outing his last start. He got lit up, and looked nothing like the rock solid lefty he appeared to be last season in his rookie campaign. Tonight, he faces a terrible Tigers team that is batting nearly .200 against lefties.

A few days ago I declared this blog would no longer bet the Yankees money line, it was a bad omen when it happened. Unfortunately, tonight that is the obvious pick. If the Yankees lose, BBBetting is willing to take responsibility. The Yankees won’t lose though, and should have an easy night.

Final Call: Yankees ML (-165)

Five keys to a successful 2016

Being trapped inside for the last two days due to the snowstorm that pounded the entire eastern seaboard has only enhanced my desire for the return of baseball season. Considering all indications from ownership point to the Yankees being done for the most part as far as additions are concerned, I felt as if now would be a prompt time to make some early predictions about the 2016 season. As I look at the Yankees team as currently comprised, I'm feeling the same sense of uncertainty as I did at this point last season. A successful 2016 season is contingent on production from players who are either old, injury prone, or in some cases, a combination of both. Normally, this would seem to be a recipe for disaster, however I'm going to try the optimistic route. Below, are what I view as the five keys to a successful 2016.
