BBB Betting Tips: Orioles @ Yankees 4/6

Last night, an Aaron Judge home run in the sixth felt like the start of something huge. In a spectacular pitching duel, Judge was the first to break through. More runs were certain to follow. Unfortunately, those runs came from the Baltimore offense and the Yankees got embarrassed, falling to a team that came into the game at 1-5. Note to future self: when tee-ball Tanaka is on the mound, think twice before assuming Yankees would win in a blowout.

Baltimore Orioles @ New York Yankees (04/06)

Kevin Gausman (0-1, 13.50 ERA) vs. CC Sabathia (0-0, 1.80 ERA)

The Orioles are a boom or bust team. They’ve only scored more than three runs in a game twice this season, one of which they lost. It is very easy to over react and to think this is a competent Orioles team after yesterday’s performance. Their pitching looked good, the bats woke up, maybe the season turns around. The problem for them is so far this season, each time they have a good game, the next game they have a dud.

For the first time this season though, the Orioles' win yesterday means a friendly Yankees line today. The Yankee line is still a bit high to bet on straight up (-163) but the spread of -1.5 is looking to make up for some recent losses (+125). The wind is looking like its blowing out to left field, Judge is starting to feel like himself, Gary Sanchez is making good contact, Didi just missed another home run last night, and Giancarlo Stanton did not hit a home run for a night so he’s due. The Yankees dominate tonight. Grab the spread.

Final Call: Yankees -1.5 (+125)

Season Record: 2-5
