2021 Bronx Bomber Ball Hall of Fame mock vote

  Ahead of the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame announcement tomorrow evening, the writers at Bronx Bomber Ball once again held a mock voting in the same format as the BBWAA.   Per BBWAA guidelines, each voter is granted a maximum of 10 votes to cast, but is not obligated to use all 10 (or any at all).   A player who receives 75% or greater of the vote is granted enshrinement into Cooperstown.

BREAKING: Yankees acquire RHP Jameson Taillon in trade with Pittsburgh Pirates

  The New York Yankees have seemingly filled out their starting rotation after acquiring Pirates right hander Jameson Taillon in a trade today.   News that the Yankees were first pursuing Taillon broke last night from MLB.com insider Mark Feinsand .   The Yankees, up against Major League Baseball’s luxury tax line with little room to spare, were looking to add to their starting rotation at a lower AAV than would be available on the free agent market.   Today, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Yankees were able to complete the deal for Taillon, sending minor league prospects Miguel Yajure, Roansy Contreras, Maikel Escotto and Canaan Smith to Pittsburgh to complete the deal.

Yankees avoid arbitration hearings with all 10 eligible players in 2021

After locking in star infielder DJ LeMahieu for the brunt of the decade early in the morning Friday, the Yankees were not finished. Last night, they agreed to terms with right-hander Corey Kluber on a one-year, $11 million deal, pending a physical. Jake Storiale was first to report the news, which was shortly thereafter confirmed by ESPN’s Jeff Passan . Early this morning, MLB Network insider Jon Morosi broke the news that the Yankees were in advanced stages with 2B DJ LeMahieu on a contract to bring the reigning AL Batting Champ back to the Bronx.
