BBB Betting Tips: Yankees vs. Minnesota Twins (4/25)

It has taken almost two weeks, but BBBetting has finally returned to earth. I will take a loss for BBBetting if it means a Yankee blow out any night of the week. Tonight we are not going to have to play that game though, as I expect a big night, a Yankee win, and a BBBetting victory.

Minnesota Twins @ New York Yankees (04/25)

Lance Lynn (0-1, 6.00 ERA) vs. Sonny Gray (1-1, 8.27 ERA)

I was foolish to think the Twins had a chance last night against potentially the second best Yankee starter. Tonight I am tempted to double down, and say the Twins are not as bad as they have been playing during their five game losing streak. I just don’t actually believe that. 

The Twins are garbage, but Sonny Gray seems like he is willing to give up runs to just about anyone. Thankfully, the Yankees bats cannot be stopped, and I expect them to put up more than enough runs to win. The game should be a high scoring affair, and the over should be well within reach. Grab the over at 9 (-110)

 UPDATE D 11/18/15 We’ve all heard it: The Yankees aren’t likely to be big spenders this offseason. Hearing this makes me chuckle as the Yankees have the dollars to field a $500 million pay roll if they wanted to, but their dedication to winning just hasn’t been there since the passing of good ole’ George. Sure little rumors have serviced here or there about them maybe pursuing Zach Greinke who has recently opted out of his contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, but that move reeks of the move CC Sabathia pulled in opting out of his contract with the Yankees a few years back to simply restructure his contract and make a better payday.   However, instances like CC Sabathia and Masahiro Tanaka are why I believe the Yankees aren’t going to shell out big money and a long term contract for a big name starter this year. The franchise won four straight championships from 1936-1939 and five straight from 1949-1953, a task no other team has ever accomplished.
