By: Nick Scott Well folks, don't look now but the Yankees appear to be the hottest team in baseball. After taking three or four from then 'hottest team' Detroit, then two of three from the next 'hottest team' the Mets, it's hard to argue just how well the Yankees are playing. We missed the series recap on the Tigers series this week, but we have a good one here for you on the Mets series.  

By: Nick Scott It's no secret I have been very critical of Carlos Beltran ever since his signing with the Yankees. He simply hasn't hit like he should and the fact he never hustles doesn't help either. This year has been no different for the $45 million man as Beltran is hitting a mind numbingly bad .184. Via Getty Images On the flip side, 'back up' outfielder Chris Young has been mashing the ball at a rate that can no longer be ignored. After finishing up the series with the Tigers today, Chris Young is batting .357 with four homers, nine RBIs, and five doubles. He's also sporting an OPS of 1.258. In other words, Young is putting up very solid numbers for a guy who is supposedly a back up.

The Yankees came into the weekend playing sub-par baseball with a record sitting at 3-6. The team had yet to win a series as they had dropped 2 of 3 to every team they had faced. However, the Yankees came out of a weekend series with the Rays victorious in all three games as they collected the sweep.

Essentially, the two attitudes regarding Stephen Drew and Didi Gregorius manning the middle infield were either “eh” or “ugh,” meaning you were either relatively indifferent or dreading it. I would have considered myself to be in the “eh” category as I am notoriously positive (in case you haven’t noticed from our twitter feed). But unless the duo gets it together and soon, their fan support will drop off a cliff and their days in pinstripes could be limited.

The Yankees played their opening series against the Orioles this week. It was a real roller coaster ride for fans as at some points the team looked pretty good and at others they looked pretty horrible. I am going to breeze through the recap to get to some important news and takeaways from the series.

Bronx Bomber Bulletin 4/14/15 Greetings Yankee fans! As well all know the Yankees season is now under way as the regular season in major league baseball has begun. With the beginning of the new season comes the beginning of new installments at the Bronx Bomber Blog. The first of which will be series recaps throughout the year and the second, which you are reading now, will be called the "Bronx Bomber Bulletin" and will prove updates and thoughts on how the team is doing as the season progresses.  At this time, the Yankees are 3-4, having lost two of three to both Boston and Toronto and having won the season opener against the Orioles in Baltimore. Let’s dive into some notables thus far!

By: Chad Raines The Yankees began the highly anticipated three game set with their rivals up on Yaw kee Way on Friday April 11. The greatest rivalry in baseball had returned and baseball fans drew their attention to the weekend series.

Recap---- The Yankees played their second game of the 2015 season yesterday against divisional foe the Toronto Blue Jays. Michael Pineda squared off against knuckleballer RA Dickey and each man went six innings allowing two runs and one run respectively. Dickey didn’t allow an RBI off a hit. 

By: Chad Raines Blue Jays 6 Yankees 1 RECAP---- The Yankees opened up their 2015 campaign against inter-division opponent, the Toronto Blue Jays. Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka lasted just 4 innings allowing 5 runs (4 earned). Tanaka breezed through the first two innings but inning number three was not his best as Edwin Encarnacion hit a two-run homer, his first, off Tanaka. Alex Rodriguez was the first baserunner of the Yankees’ season after walking to lead off the third inning. He then hit a single and was 1-2 on the afternoon with a walk. Brett Gardner hit the Yankees first homer of the season with a solo shot in the 6 th . The Yankees threw 7 pitchers today: Tanaka, Chris Martin, Chasen Shreve, David Carpenter, Justin Wilson and Esmil Rogers. With an off-day tomorrow, the Yankees bullpen should be at full force on Wednesday.

By Zack Robinson To the untrained eye, this offseason was a bust for the New York Yankees. The Evil Empire transformed to the Pinstripe Penny-pinchers, saving money by avoiding a big deal in David Robertson, and going after the more cost effective Andrew Miller; then signing incumbent Chase Headley rather than making a big splash in the third base market like their counterparts on Yawkee Way, and North of the border (Red Sox). Yes, to the average fan it looked as if the Yanks were going all in on the post core-4 rebuild, but I’m here to tell you why you’re wrong.
