Bronx Bomber Ball

Tonight is the beginning of what should be an incredibly fun series. The Red Sox are still a game up on the Yankees and hold the best record in baseball. With that said, no team is hotter than these New York Yankees.  BBBetting has continued its hot streak as well, and tonight we look to keep it going. Photo Credit: MLB.com

A little early in the month I know, but this blog is all about the numbers. In the month of May BBBetting has never lost. BBBetting started the month off right, winning the total hits+runs+errors under 26 with relative ease. Undefeated in the month of May, and 12-3-1 in our last 16 games. After one month of BBBetting, we sit with a positive record of 13-10-1. It was a huge turn around, after starting the season 3-8. Today is the first BBBetting of May, and as always, I anticipate we will start off with an easy win.  Photo Credit: Getty Images

It has taken almost two weeks, but BBBetting has finally returned to earth. I will take a loss for BBBetting if it means a Yankee blow out any night of the week. Hopefully a few nights off here will not slow down the absolute red hot streak we have been on. This blog is 7-1-1 with our last nine picks, and just like the Yankees bats, appears unstoppable. 6-1-1 in our last seven games. It may still be cold in the Bronx, but BBBetting is on absolute fire. Last night was a nail biting win, for both the Yankees and BBBetting, but Aaron Judge saved us both. The hot streak continues! We are 4-1-1 in our last six games, and are going to keep it going tonight. Thursday gave us our first push of the season. We did not get there in the manner I predicted, with three garbage time runs in the ninth, but it was not a loss. It was, however, another loss for our beloved Bombers.  Coming off of an intense rivalry series, the Yankees are in for an interesting few games betting wise as they take on the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park this weekend. Yesterday was terrible. In every possible way. The Red Sox were major favors going into the game, and this blog tried to outsmart the bookmakers and play the Yankee spread. Vegas always wins, and sure enough dominated my pick. Today will be different, though. Photo Credit: MLB.com

Sunday finally resulted in this blog predicting the over, and us actually hitting that over. Holding true with the trend of this season, a win here meant a sickening Yankee loss. Through nine games in the 2018 season, the old saying “the house always wins” has proven to be more correct in this blog, than maybe anywhere else. The worst component about betting on the favored team against the spread is the potential of extra innings. The home team needs one run to win, this blog needed two. Obviously being a fan of the Yankees comes first, so I would easily have taken another loss for BBB Betting Tips if it meant a Yankee win. Yesterday was the kind of day that makes it so difficult to bet on your favorite team. The Yankee fan in me was jumping up and down at my desk as we got to see Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, and Gary Sanchez all hit homers in the Bronx. The gambling blogger in me sat with my head in my hands wallowing that the under missed by one run. Emotionally, it was a push. Yesterday we found out Sir Didi Gregorius is another avid reader of this blog. He knew how badly we needed a win and decided to take it upon himself to make sure we got back on track.  The hope is that we get a whole lot more of Didi shrugging like Jordan this season. Justin Smoak cost this blog a win on Sunday. Going into the eighth with a one run lead, and David Robertson, Houdini himself, on the mound, the money line win felt like a lock. Even when they walked Josh Donaldson to load the bases for Smoak, I was thinking that it was brilliant. The odds of a two home run game were low, and Houdini always finds a way out of trouble. Thankfully the series is over, and a Yankee team that dominated at home last year returns to the Bronx this afternoon. Photo Credit: Getty Images

Yesterday presented Bronx Bomber Ball a bittersweet day. Even though the Yankees lost, we learned that Aaron Boone and  Dellin  Betances are avid readers of this blog. With Masahiro Tanaka giving up a homer in the second inning, it looked like as if we were in line for a classic tee-ball Tanaka outing, and that the over would be guaranteed. Tanaka pitched lights out after that, however, and once again the Toronto Blue Jays did nothing to help the over.
