BBB Betting Tips: Red Sox vs. Yankees (5/8)

Tonight is the beginning of what should be an incredibly fun series. The Red Sox are still a game up on the Yankees and hold the best record in baseball. With that said, no team is hotter than these New York Yankees.  BBBetting has continued its hot streak as well, and tonight we look to keep it going.

Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees (05/08)

Drew Pomeranz (1-1, 6.14 ERA) vs. Luis Severino (5-1, 2.11 ERA)

The line tonight is an absolute nightmare for everyone outside of Boston. The Yankees are beyond heavily favored, sitting at -220 currently. Even the spread has them as big favorites (-1.5, -105). I get it, the Yankees appear to be unstoppable, and Mookie Betts (while in the lineup) is not fully healthy. The line is a bit unfair to the team with the best record in baseball, and with this rivalry I see it more as a tossup.

With Luis Severino on the mound, the game should be a low scoring affair. Pomeranz has not looked great, but I just keep going back to the rivalry. It goes against everything this blog has been about, just following the numbers. My gut tells me it’s a one run game, and Yankees come out on top. Grab the Boston spread, best bang for your buck for a one run game.

Final Call: BOS +1.5(-115)
