BBB Betting Tips: Yankees vs. Houston Astros (5/2)
After one month of
BBBetting, we sit with a positive record of 13-10-1. It was a huge turn around,
after starting the season 3-8. Today is the first BBBetting of May, and as
always, I anticipate we will start off with an easy win.
New York Yankees @ Houston Astros (5/2)
Luis
Severino (4-1, 2.86 ERA) vs. Dallas Keuchel (1-4, 4.00 ERA)
Today should be a fantastic
pitcher’s duel in Houston. For those who recall, BBBetting expected a rough
outing for Luis Severino his last start in LA. He threw seven strong innings,
eight strikeouts, and a no-decision. Hands up, I was wrong on that one. Severino
is an absolute stud, and I will not make the mistake of expecting him to bomb
again.
Dallas Keuchel on the
other side has the potential to be an absolute monster, and really has had the
unfortunate Sonny Gray effect. He's had a few high scoring outings but always with
minimal run support. Against a Yankee lineup like this, he easily could
recreate his last outing and give up another six runs.
I think the interesting
part with today’s game is the really low over/under line. Currently it’s
sitting at 7.5 runs, which is begging (and working) the public to bet the over.
I think with two really good pitchers, and two really good lineups, we should
take today to play a different line.
The total hits + runs +
errors line is sitting at 26. The Yankees have only sniffed that 26 number once
in the past two weeks when they blew out the Angels. With these two pitchers, I
don’t foresee anything like that happening. Play the fun total hits + runs +
errors line under 26.
Final
Call: total hits + runs + errors under 26 (-135)
