BBB Betting Tips: Yankees @ Blue Jays 3/31

With Masahiro Tanaka giving up a homer in the second inning, it looked like as if we were in line for a classic tee-ball Tanaka outing, and that the over would be guaranteed. Tanaka pitched lights out after that, however, and once again the Toronto Blue Jays did nothing to help the over. Today we change direction and stay away from the over/under line currently at set at nine.

New York Yankees @ Toronto Blue Jays (03/31)
CC Sabathia (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Marco Estrada (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

The Yankees have been able to win their first two games with relative ease. Their starters have been sharp, and the bullpen is performing as well as expected. The perception from most sports books seems to be that today will be more of a challenge. The Yankees money line opened yesterday at (-145) and has already dropped to (-125). The interesting part is it's dropping while 62% of the public is still betting on the Yankees today.

In this blog, I would never suggest betting on the other team to win outright. The goal here is to make money while rooting for the Yankees. Today I expect the Blue Jays to lose, but only by a run. Grab the Jays against the spread at +1.5.

Final Call: Toronto Blue Jays +1.5(-145)

Season Record: 0-2
