BBB Betting Tips: Yankees @ Blue Jays 3/30
The Yankees hit three homers yesterday and did their part to help my over prediction, even Dellin Betances tried to help us out. Fortunately (unfortunately for this post) Luis Severino was too dominant and the over fell just short. Today our luck turns though!
New York Yankees @ Toronto Blue Jays (03/30)
Masahiro Tanaka (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Aaron Sanchez (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
There is a common trend in sports betting to fade the public. The Yankees are going to be favorites in almost every game this season, and unfortunately that will mean picking the Yankees outright will not always be worth the risk. The Yankees are favored today (-155) and after a performance like yesterday, have 69% of the public picking them. Vegas always wins, and that is just too high a percentage for my liking.
The number I like a lot more is the 8.5 over. Last night after the Yankees' win, the over/under was set at 9.0, and had the majority of the public grabbing the under. As a result, the line has fallen to a more comfortable 8.5. The majority of the public is still grabbing the under, but not us at Bronx Bomber Ball. Masahiro Tanaka, who has a history of struggling at Rogers Centre, has the potential to give us a home run derby, and Aaron Judge is officially due for a big day to catch Giancarlo Stanton. Grab that over.
Final Call: Take the over at 8.5 (-110)
Season Record: 0-1
