BBB Betting Tips: Rays @ Yankees 4/4
Yesterday we found out Sir
Didi Gregorius is another avid reader of this blog. He knew how badly we needed
a win and decided to take it upon himself to make sure we got back on track. The hope is that we get a whole lot more of Didi shrugging like Jordan this season. It’s
good for the Yankees, it’s good for baseball, and more importantly, it’s good
for this blog.

Blake
Snell (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Luis Severino (1-0, 0.00 ERA)
Today is a perfect storm
of overreaction for the betting lines. The Yankees opened yesterday as big
favorites, but after a dominant win the line has sky rocketed to -240. Taking a
look at the spread, -1.5 the Yankees still are favored at -130. The public
clearly is all over the Yanks, with 85% taking the -240 money line. It’s
insane, and way too high to bet on. The Yankees have their ace going today and
stand a good chance to win. The issue is the amount of money that would have to
be bet to make anything is not worth the risk.
That directs us
elsewhere: the over/under. Currently the line sits at eight runs. Blake Snell
and Luis Severino both looked fantastic in their first starts. I anticipate
they both keep that going this afternoon, and the Yankees win in a low scoring affair.
Grab the under, and enjoy a great pitching duel.
Final
