BBBets Wild Card Series Day 2

Hello all and welcome to today’s Bronx Bomber Bets column. Today we are actually going to introduce a new layer to our bets, by adding a parlay to the column. For those of you who are newer to betting, a parlay is a combination of bets in which you need every single bet to hit in order to win the money. These kind of bets are very high-risk, high-reward which is why we usually like to use money line bets rather than run line. Because this is such a high risk, as you need every pick to win, the odds are often much higher than the odds for any single bet. Now that we’ve explained that, here are our bets for today:

Yankees RL -1.5 (+135)

After an offensive explosion last night, the Yankees look to finish off the series tonight at Progressive Field with Tanaka on the mound against Carlos Carrasco. We like the Yankees to cover the spread and finish the series tonight.

 

Dodgers RL -1.5 (-112)

The Dodgers hit the most home runs in the league while also having the best rotation ERA and producing the most wins in baseball this year. With Walker Buehler on the mound, we like the Dodgers to cover in their Game 1 tonight.

Athletics ML (-136)

After a Game 1 loss to the White Sox, the A’s look to knot up the series tonight with Chris Bassitt on the mound against Dallas Keuchel. After looking stagnant all day yesterday, the A’s started to mount a comeback late, even getting the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the 8^th, but the White Sox were able to hold them off. We like the A’s to tie the series and force a winer-take-all Game 3 for Thursday.

 

Rays RL -1.5 (+155)

The Blue Jays looked lost while they faced Rays ace Blake Snell yesterday. While the Rays offense wasn’t able to give much run support for their starter, 3 runs was still enough for them to cover yesterday. Both teams will be facing tough pitching today, as we have a matchup of Tyler Glasnow and Hyun-Jin Ryu. Look for another low scoring game today, but we like the Rays to cover again and to end the series.

Reds ML (+112)

Trever Bauer gets the start for the Reds and he’s looked unhittable lately, having gona at least 6 IP and allowing no more than 2 earned runs in each of his last five starts. We like the Reds to ride their ace tonight, and come out on top in an important Game 1.

For our parlay, we decided to pick money line for each of the games above, so we have:

Reds ML

 

For this parlay to hit, we need all of these results to come through. The final odds on this parlay come out to +1465, which means that a $100 bet on the parlay would win you $1,465, or a $10 bet would win $146.50.
