All-Star ballot update #4: Aaron Judge almost has three million votes and other Yankees are closing in
With
the Midsummer Classic less than three weeks away, the final battles for
All-Star starting positions are tighter than ever. Luckily for the Yankees’
star right fielder, he does not have to worry about losing his starting job.
Judge has more than 2.6 million votes and has rightfully earned the top spot in
the AL voting for the third week in a row.
Matt Holliday and Starlin Castro remain second for their respective positions. Gary Sanchez is now third among catchers and is not far behind former Yankee Brian McCann as they are separated by less than six thousand votes. Didi Gregorius remains at third place among short stops and Brett Gardner sits at eighth place, but both players are running out of time to make a push up the ballot rankings. Aaron Hicks is still nowhere to be found on the outfielder rankings due to his write-in candidacy.
With
the game inching closer and voting ending on June 29, the Yankees need your
help more than ever to help reach the game as a starting player. Here are the
hashtags the Yankees are using to advertise their ASG worthy players and the
link to where you can vote five times a day and up to 35 times total.
