I've made no secret that Clint Frazier is one of my favorite players. The way the kid plays, his hustle, his love of the game, his charisma (which fits perfectly in NYC), and, of course, his bat speed are dynamic components of his game. While the addition of reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton is absolutely awesome, it's just another roadblock to Frazier’s playing time. Frazier currently sixth one line for the Yankees in the outfield depth chart, though, personally I'd rank him higher than Ellsbury, but my opinion is biased.                                                                 Photo via: Getty Images

It's been a very slow going off-season Yankee fans the hot stove is more like the cold stove. Yesterday Ben Badler (Baseball America) broke the news that the New York Yankees are one of three teams (Texas and Miami) considered to be the favorites to sign top Cuban prospect outfielder Julio Pablo Martinez who's said to be 21-years-old. Earlier news broke by Mark Feinsand of MLB.com that the New York Yankees have resigned CC Sabathia to a one-year deal worth $10 million. Sabathia has been with the Yanks since 2009 when he inked a seven-year, $161 million deal. He's been the veteran pitching staff leader, a role that was once filled by fellow southpaw, Andy Pettite. Last night reports were coming out that the Yankees were close to acquiring the reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton, which happened to set Twitter on fire like nothing I have ever seen.  Yankee fans including myself refused to go to sleep for fear of missing the story break. Tonight it was announced that former Yankee and current ESPN Analyst Aaron Boone has been hired to be the 35th manager in Yankees history.   Photo Credit: SI Boone is succeeding Joe Girardi who was at the helm for the previous 10 years. Boone has been praised for his high baseball IQ, familiarity with the analytical side of baseball, and his charisma. The one thing he lacks is coaching/managerial experience. It is rumored that the Yankees will hire someone with more managerial or coaching experience as his bench coach, maybe Eric Wedge or Dusty Baker. Stay tuned for more details regarding the hire. On Wednesday Carlos Beltran was the latest candidate to interview for the managerial opening.  Yes the same Beltran who won his first World Series ring and retired. It's no secret that the Yankees Farm System is loaded and Tyler Wade is one of my personal favorite Yankees prospects. This kid is so talented and can play SS/2B/CF. The Bombers wanted him to develop into their own version of Ben Zobrist. While playing with (AAA) Scranton last year, he went 105-for-339 which is good for a .310 average with 22 doubles, four triples, seven homers, 31 RBIs and 26 SB. With numbers like that you think he'd be a fixture in the Yankees lineup but he's currently blocked by Starlin Castro, Didi Gregorius, Aaron Hicks and Ronald Torreyes.  Photo Credit: Zimbio

On Friday, the 2003 ALCS hero Aaron Boone interviewed for to be the next Yankees manager. Boone, who unlike the other candidates, has no coaching experience. Boone grew up in a baseball family. His grandfather, Ray, and his father, Bob, both played in the majors. His dad also managed the Royals and the Reds; Aaron's brother, Bret, played for 14 years. After retiring from playing in 2010, Boone took a analyst job with ESPN. Boone definitely fits the mold of a younger, intelligent baseball mind familiar with the analytical side of the game. His familiarity with the media and charismatic attitude is definitely something that has the Yankees interested in him. Photo Credit: NJ.com
