The Yankees and the White Sox struck a blockbuster deal on Tuesday night after the Yankees officially acquired 3B/1B Todd Frazier, RHP David Robertson and RHP Tommy Kahnle. As for Kahnle, the 27-year-old is controlled through 2020. Frazier, on the other hand, is a free agent at the end of this season as he is effectively a rental who solves the Yankees problem at either first or third base. The Yankees could elect to resign Frazier to a short term deal this offseason. Frazier has hit to a disappointing-looking .207/.328/.432 line, but he has 16 homers, 15 doubles and 44 RBIs.
