With the signing, the Yankees appear to be further out of the game for Manny Machado. The New York infield is now comprised of LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres, Troy Tulowitzki, Miguel Andujar, Luke Voit, Greg Bird and Tyler Wade.

LeMahieu is expected to fill a defensive utility role for New York, seeing action at first, second, and third base. The 30-year-old reached a career high last year with 15 home runs.
