Right-hander Corey Kluber will be
shut down for a minimum of two months due to a sub-scapular strain in his right
shoulder. First baseman Luke Voit will face another IL stint as well, as he’s
dealing with a Grade 2 strained oblique.
Corey Kluber will be out at least two months with the shoulder strain, Aaron Boone says. General rule is one week of build-up for each week missed. So four weeks (at least) down, four weeks up. Looking at close to August for a potential return for Kluber.

The news comes after Kluber was
removed from Tuesday’s game in the third inning after experiencing shoulder tightness. Kluber’s injury
hurts significantly, as he’s pitched tremendously as the primary guy behind ace
Gerrit Cole. In 53.1 innings, he’s 4-3 with a 3.04 ERA and 134 ERA+, including
a historic no-hitter against the Rangers.
