After losing two out of three to the Oakland Athletics earlier this week, the Yankees were able to take the series against the Seattle Mariners after last night's victory. On Sunday Night Baseball, the Yankees defeated the Orioles, 5-3, at a vacant Camden Yards, to finish off a four-game weekend sweep. More importantly, the Yanks managed to pick up 4.5 games on the suddenly stumbling Boston Red Sox over the last week. After tonight, the Yankees are now five back of Boston in the loss column.
