A letter of gratitude to all the supporters of the BBB in 2015

Man, where do I start? The 2015 season was our first season on twitter and as a blog. We started from scratch and we're now one of the most popular non-professional Yankee blogs. It just so happened that the Yankees made it to the postseason in our first season we've covered. On behalf of all contributors at the BBB, I owe it all to our followers and readers for the support this past season!

I started the account in November of 2014 by reactivating an old account of mine that had a solid 16 inactive followers. As the offseason went on, we gained notoriety by interviewing players such as Johnny Barbato, Slade Heathcott, Chris Martin, Christopher Smith and MLB.com's Bryan Hoch. These interviews went a long way in giving us credibility.

When the season started, we live tweeted many of games which lead to us being mentioned several times on air by one Michael Kay, a follower of the BBB. Later, John 'Flash' Flaherty followed us. We've also had a countless number of minor leaguers in the Yankee farm system follow us. Ironically, as I was publishing this, Kay read one of our articles and tweeted us his feedback, and that was really cool.

All of this is good and well, but the main people that keep the BBB up and running are our everyday followers and readers. To the people who read our articles, share them on social media, comment on them, and interact with us on twitter, I can't thank you enough for all of your support. You've made what the BBB is today!

Today, the Bronx Bomber Blog is one of the fastest growing Yankee blogs and is one of the largest unaffiliated Yankee blogs and we owe it all to our writers and to our supporters. Thank you.

Our mission in 2016 will be the same as it was in 2015. We'll still be bringing you the latest news, rumors, updates and opinions on all things Yankees. We'll still live tweet games, write recaps write opinionated articles, and share our tough love approach with the Yankees on Twitter and on the blog. This tough love affair we have with the Yankees has garnered some criticism, but we're tough to please because we support the greatest franchise in sports. We must expect that greatness!

Additionally, we'll continue bringing you all podcasts. This was a project we started in the offseason of 2015 and will be continuing in the future. Surely, we’ll also come up with another unique series of articles to write, such as our Bronx Bomber Bulletins we wrote for most of the season. And who knows? Maybe we'll get lucky and break some news in 2016.

We're got a tight-knit group of writers currently who are looking to put in even more time in 2016 than we did in 2015. With the help of our current staff of myself (Chad), Scott, Steven, Bryan, Matt, James, Phil, Greg, Aaron, Sammy, Julian, and Danny, we've established a popular Yankee blog (again, thanks to you, the reader), and we're excited for Yankees baseball in 2016.

So overall, I can't thank you all for the support we've gotten. Yankees twitterverse constantly presents itself as the greatest fan base in sports and we're honored to be a part of that. Thanks to all of you who have stuck with the BBB and we look to continue growing our audience in 2016 and far beyond! Here's to a great New Year, and let's hope the Yankees can make 2016 even greater than we're already anticipating it to be!
